Youtube Chat:
Live streaming services often include live chat windows. Camp Hollywood’s live chat will be available throughout the weekend and we would love to see you connecting with other dancers, cheering people on, asking questions and more. You’ll need to be signed in to a google account to participate. Here’s some chat etiquette to review:
The Big No’s - Remember there are chat participants from all over the world. Racism, sexism, body shaming, Hate Speech, and other toxic behavior will not be tolerated and will result in an instant ban.
Be Respectful to the competitors and performers - Remember our teachers, judges, competitors and performers will most likely be in chat. If you wouldn’t say something to their face, it might not be appropriate to say in chat. We are not looking for your critical analysis on triple step syncopation. Positive comments are key!
Listen to our Moderators - Members of our community have volunteered their time to moderate chat. They are working hard to make sure chat is a safe, inclusive and fun experience for all. If they suggest something please treat them with respect and listen.
Say hi to our Robot - User “streamelements” is our chat bot and is there to make our life easier! It helps our moderation team and can provide useful links for you to enjoy. Try communicating with it with these commands: !merch !website !clap !tip !donate !love
No Links in chat - This is a precaution we have to take to protect our viewers. Links will be auto blocked by our bot. If you have something you’d really like to share with the community, consider posting it on facebook or discord.
All the Emotes! - A fun part of “live stream chat culture” is spamming emotes. When you see something worth reacting to try spamming some emotes in chat. It’s fun to see 300 users all responding to a performance with ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️.
Donate:
You can donate to Camp Hollywood any time over the weekend. If you donate during the live stream, a notification will pop up on the stream. Feel free to use this to shout out, advertise and/or thank Hilary and the team. If you’d rather remain anonymous, make sure you make that your username when filling out the form.
Zoom Parties:
Each night of Virtual Camp Hollywood you will have the opportunity to join our zoom party. Before you can participate you will need to fill out this registration form (once for the entire weekend):

Dress Up: We want to celebrate with you! While it’s not mandatory, we would love to see you dressed up and moving to the music.
Muted Mics and chat: Mics will be muted in zoom. Feel free to use the zoom chat room. All of the youtube chat rules apply to zoom.
Virtual Backgrounds: If you choose to use a virtual background on zoom please use one of the approved backgrounds here. This will help eliminate inappropriate content and self promotion.
